So my BTA ate my clown

yeah, seems a little bit weird. But i picked up my new bta at the meeting. So it probably left its house at around 9 or 10, and didn't get into my tank until around 6. It seemed pretty good when i got it in the tank. One of my clowns took to it really quickly and started swimming in and out of it. As of 4 AM that night, the clown was just chillin in the bta, sometimes would dive in and out of it. I woke up at 9AM, clown gone, nothing on the floor or sump. The BTA looked amazing. It pooped what was left of the clowns body up also (which wasn't much.)

My brother said it is probably because the bta had moved its location and was pretty freaked out. Just snapped shut when the clown tried to dive into it....

My BTA ate my clown fish about 1.5 year ago.

It takes a while for a clown's body to acclimate to the anemone depending on the clown and anemone species. Actually it is really complex and interesting. Some species which are natural pairs in the wild have a natural immunity, but some don't. Others take days to get used to the sting. It is very complicated and not really understood yet. You'll hear lots of generalities and they are pretty much all wrong to some extent. That nature stuff is pretty nifty if you ask me.

you gave me a bta. Thanks by the way! It was not that one though, i have another one in the tank with it that is different colors. The one you gave me was smaller than the one that ate the clown. Your bta seems to be doing fine in my tank, i thought it was going to split but it never did for some reason.
