Sound proof stand

I was thinking about trying to line my stand with a sound reduction material. This would help keep the system quiet. Has anyone tried this? What did they use?

Interesting..... I would think the traditional sound damperin material used like dynoflex or empty egg crates wsuld be for way louder situations but let me know if you find something that works that would be cool. Sounds like a good idea a silent stand

I was able to contain most of the sound in my old stand just by putting stick on weather stripping around the doors so that they would seal when closed.

I had used dynomat before and it worked great especially under a pump( no vibrations) .

I just ordered this stuff yesterday - Ensolite IUO Peel and Stick, 14 sq ft and I bought 2 cans of aerosol rubber coating spray. I think this will cover the interior of my 54g corner tank well.
I am preparing for my next build... I am going to line the walls of my stand with it. Basically it claims to be comparable to dynamat but much more affordable.
