spawning clam

My squamosa clam started spawning like crazy. It has been stressed lately and nibbled at by a wrasse.
What should I do? Is this bad?

Get some fresh carbon running ASAP and do a few large water changes. The spawning will affect your water quality and it's normal for clams to spawn in aquariums. Although I am not sure if it stress that causes it or just the right conditions

I just put a new clam in and it is spawning like crazy. I have otherclams and I have never seen this happen.I just did a 40 gallon water change on my 125 yesterday I do not know if I should do another. My new skimmer is going crazy It has been doing it for 45 minutes. It is a 7 inch maxima.
