Spring Tank Tour Sun., May 1st!

Jackie.
Just use the directions to my house, and have people meet in the church parking lot. it's directly across the street. it should (emphaisis here but never certain) be empty as the church is now closed. We will probably need to send 1 person to the DD as the parking there on a normal day is awful, and sending extra cars there for meeting would be cruel to all those involved as well as the local DD junkies that will be trying to get in there.

I'm really bummed I'll be missing this. I hope everyone has a blast. I hope someone takes plenty of pictures. Get good pictures of the equipment setups! I really enjoy seeing peoples behind the scenes setups.

David, so sorry we couldn't fit you in! :( There were a couple people who lived farther south that I had to drop to be able to fit the majority in. I"m sure there'll be more road trips:)

Owen, I'll do some directions to your house and email them out before Sunday. For the people who are meeting in Arlington, do you all have email? I'll send out group directions.

Anyone hear from Ray? He was going to be a stop but I haven't heard from him.

Stay tuned and will check posts today if someone has a ???...:)

I'm assuming Dunkin Donuts
Damn, I was hoping it was a Designated Driver with a party bus full of boose and frags.

Hi Everyone -
If anyone would like to hook up at my house (I think I am stop #2) - you could leave your cars at my house and pick them up at the end. We could meet a little earlier and ride to Sherry's together . . Just a thought. It is always more fun to travel in a "pack" . . . I'll drive and take 3 others . . .

Since I live very close to Kevin which is one of the last stops my house will be open for visitors.

the address is:

34 lowell rd #30
Pepperell, Ma 01463

count me in!

Thanks Jackie for arranging all of this. Please count me in as touring as well.

Thanks!

Time to whip those tanks into shape!

Sherry

Just to let all you tank tourists know, the street I live off of is under construction, they're putting in sewer lines. It will be open on Sunday, don't worry, it will just be a really bumpy ride for a while. So if you see detour signs, don't follow them, just follow the mapquest directions. See you Sunday,
Mike

Only 3 more days! (not counting today;) ) I've made a couple edits to the list, adding drivers/people touring and a stop:
  1. Owen's to Sherry's in Burlington, about 7 mi
  2. Sherry's to Paula's in Bedford, about 6 mi
  3. Paula's to Karen's in Westford, about 17 mi
  4. Karen's to Tucc185 in S. Tewksbury, 18 mi (food stop? Karen LMK if it doesn't work out, we will have carloads of munchies:) )
  5. Tucc185 to Nate's Lawrence, Ma 14 mi. (last Mass. stop) ??Nate did you decide if you are in for a stop? I'd really like to see your setup!
  6. Nate's to PHreef, Newton NH, 19 mi
  7. PHreef to Bill's (syris) Epping, NH, 17 mi
  8. Bill's to Cindy's, Windham NH, 26 mi
  9. Cindy's to Kevin's in Nashua, 11 mi (food stop?)
  10. Kevin's to Clamm's, Pepperell, MA, 2 mi
Touring people:

Abbey
Daire
Dawn (driver w/van, +5 or 6)
Jackie (driver + 3 but I only have a 2-door if that's not a problem)
Reefguy78
Nativemic
Reef55
Nate
Keith and Jennifer (the Iffers)
Paula (driver +3, meet at Paula's early before 9:00am)
Nunofs
Melody+1 (driver +2, carpool pickup in Nashua at Melody's)
Owen (driver, +3 people)
Sherry

So, it looks like we have room for more people to tour, sorry I didn't mention this before! I counted 16 people touring, 5 camels (just want to make sure you're all awake;) ) with room for 21 people in all give or take one or two, in case some people find they can't make it on Sunday. Anyone else want to join us?

Nuno, I'll also have my camera, so I can take pictures or there may be other people as well who will bring there's so we'll finish the photography session for you:)

Anything else as we crash into the weekend in a couple days?

I still need some email addresses for directions to Owen's, or I'll check your profile.

Mike, LMK if things change on your street....

Thanks everyone!

Hi Jackie. Things have been getting a little crazy around here with some house projects, so things will be a bit of a disaster, but I would still love to show-off my work-in-progress tank. :)

I'm going to try to make it for the 5 stops before me, but that'll depend a lot on Lily and Casey's schedules. I'll pm you my phone number so if I don't make it for the touring, you can give me a warning call when you're headed this way.

Thanks, Nate

That sounds great and I have your cell #. Spring is home project time....:) I have a ton to do myself.

Well, since we're bragging about tons, I've got 3 tons of masonry waste from an old patio, now sitting in my driveway, that I have to get rid of. I think I'll give everyone a door prize for visiting my tank. Your choice of asphalt slab or poured concrete! :D

Hmmm, I"ve been wanting to get a patio in ever since we tore down our deck, I really miss it. I'll take a look at at, maybe I can just put down a couple pieces.....

haha, you don't want this stuff jackie! :) You really couldn't do anything with it. It was an asphalt surface that was all cracked and crooked, and I tore it up in jagged chunks. The concrete was a retaining wall that I smashed into managable pieces.

Unless you're trying to sink a boat, I don't think there's much use for it.

If you want a patio, go talk to the "Stone Yard" across the street from AA. They'll help you out. It's a totally managable DIY project for anyone.

Nate

Take it to the water...and dump it. Make an artificial reef :)

Yeah, it'd be the ecological thing to do right? :) "But I'm doing it for the fishes officer" :o

The problem would be getting it out onto the water. I literally have 3 tons of it.
