Hey everyone . . . don't be nervous about having a bunch of us show up to look your systems. . .. . I have seen a BUNCH of systems - small and big, simple and elaborate - and I have learned something from EVERY ONE of them. It might be a plumbing tip, or another way to do a top-off, or a new tool . .. every system is so different and we have some pretty clever people running them. I have been doing this for 6 years now, and I still have a LOT to learn. I am looking forward to seeing every one of the systems on the tour!!!!

Not to worry guys, Paula is right. You can learn so much from other setups. Lots of smart people out there and I know I'll pick up quite a few tips from all of you. I can honestly say I"ve only seen about 4-5 tanks since I've been doing this for 2 1/2yrs. BTW, I have some black balloons if you want to borrow them j/k

Jackie, awsome job in organizing the tank tour today. Thanks to all of those who were a stop along the way. Everyone's tank was beautiful and inspiring. Both me and Melody had a blast and are now full of all kinds of ideas for our tanks.

Cindy thanks for the frags and macro algea. I've put them all in with Al, my mantis, and within 2 minutes of putting it all in he's already grabbed a clump of the red algea and lined his cave with it. I'm hoping he leaves the rest of it alone though.

Jackie: thank you so much for all the work you put into this... the level of detail of your planning was incredible (I particularly liked the "stitched" large map!) and it really showed because the tour was a success... lots of really nice tanks to see, great people to meet, and a lot to learn at every single stop... it was long but awesome day.

And a big "thank you" to everyone who opened up their houses and showed their tanks.

Yes, thanks to Jackie for all the work to put this together. It was too bad we couldnt fit everyone in that wanted to be but it was a ~long~ day as it was, FUN, but long. Another big thanks to Paula for driving!!!! over 200 miles! And esp thanks to the people who let us stop in and take over the house for a bit.

It was lots of fun to see all the super nice tanks.

I have a small request for the people whose tanks we visited today: if you could send me a short PM with your tank statistics (just the very basics, like size, lights, etc) I would really appreciate it... I didn't take any notes and would like to compile that information to try and put together an article about the tour.
