Spring Tank Tour?

If I'm on the 'route', count me in. I love my reef even though it is 'non-traditional (meaning it is a VERY mixed reef). It sounds like I might be in the middle of the tour. If so, I can provide food for folks to tide everyone over for more gawking/envying.

I am in Westford, not far off of route 3. Skydolphin, this might be your opportunity to see my reef, finally.

If I can fit it in my family schedule I'd like to participate.

When are we thinking of doing this? I'd be willing to share my setup if it's in a few weeks when I've gotten a couple unfinished tank projects behind me. :)

Dawn, Karen and Nate, great to have you along! Karen we'll definitely be in your neighborhood. Nate, May 1st seems to be the date people can make it. If that's going to be a problem with some people LMK.....I haven't routed this out yet, so there's plenty of time to sign up!

I think I can do it, and if my tank is on the way It would be great to have everyone in to see it. If the timing works out we could do lunch or something here too.

I should be able to have things in shape May 1st, but you better not put me immediately after Keith (IfferSlave) or Mark (reef55); Keith's tank will make mine look puny, and Mark's sump alone will make my whole system look like a teacup! :)

Great Cindy! Food is always welcome....:) I'll let you know ahead of time how that works out and keep in touch on how your tank is doing.

Nate, even a teacup can be dramatically beautiful.....but I'll see what I can do!
;)

Karen, munchies sounds wonderful and anxious to see your tank again to see how it's grown, it's been awhile!

So it looks like May 1st?

Oh, I even have a project for us to do. I have some of those web snail thingies growing on the side of my clam. Here is an article about them
http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-01/rs/index.htm
I need to kill them somehow, but I think this is a reef equivalent of needing someone else to squish the spider on the toilet seat.

When? Spring's here, and is a long season in New England ;)

I'd be willing to have you all storm my basement to see my tank. It'd be great if we could get Neo (Gustavo) too, but his wife is due with a baby and I'm sure she'd not be thrilled if BRS invaded her house (again).

Let me know when we are doing this. I can't be a rider (I've got baseball, scouts and other commitments) but could be home to pass out beer and let y'all peek at my humble SPS / Clam reef.

Dave

Awright, now we have David! Thanks for letting us rowdy reefers in...:)

We're looking at Sunday, May 1st. I will probably start another thread with the date in the title so people know and include this thread with a link.

I'd like to have your addresses and if you could give me a clue what major highway your next to (93, rte. 3, etc.), I can start to map this out. Send me a PM or email (i don't check email that often though) .....all personal info will be held in confidence. Thanks!

Since the next meeting will be on April 30th, do you all want to keep the tank tour on May 1st? It doesn't matter to me, but some of you may not be able to do a double reefing weekend..

Well if you are in JustDavids neck of the woods than I'd be happy to have you all check out my two tanks....I am a few minutes away from his house. (framingham)
LMK

Laura we'd love to see your tanks! I'll check out the distances for all of these stops hopefully this weekend to find out what we're looking at as far as time and the amount of stops we can make.:)
