What Are The Reasons For Your Descision?

I have a "Nova Extreme T-5 lighting fixture" with
"2 x 24w T5 HO Slimpaq 10,000K Daylight,
2 x 24w T5 HO Slimpaq 460nm Actinic,
2 lunar lights"

2 x 250w XM 10k SE
1 x 65w PC Actinict - tiny bit of color when the lights are on, but more than adequate for dawn and dusk for me. It surprised me what 1 65w PC could do.

10 K for growth combined with 14K for color.

I have a 65 with 2 250 10k XM's, and 2 T-5 34 Watt actinics. The color is very white, after 6 months my tank raised frags are starting to grow buds and branches. I plan on going to 14k when they need replacing.

Recently switched out my 10ks for 14ks. I love the color, but it's too early to comment on growth. I don't run actinics.

2 x 250W DE Phoenix 14k with no actinics

The color is amazing and I get good growth, but I attribute that mainly to water flow and calcium reactor. If you dont think your corals are growing fast enough, increase your flow.

I run 2 x 175W Iwasaki 15k "Aqua2" bulbs on IC ballasts with 2 x 39W T5s for supplementation (1 blue+, 1 actinic). Great growth (waaay better than XM 10k, or Ushio, or Hamilton for that matter) which I attribute to the b*tchin' PPFD for these bulbs. On IC ballasts, they run at over 50% efficiency! The oranges, yellows, and greens look great, but the purples are a bit dull.
