Staghorn coral question

i have a Caribbean tank and therefore can not get any true staghorn from the Caribbean due to restrictions. My question is how different is the info-pacific staghorn? I may possibly try a piece to make it look the part.

As species, staghorn coral (Acropora cervicornis) is unique. For the shape, green slimer is closely mimic the staghorn except the color (well, staghorn is brown).

Well some staghorn are yellow, but I do know it grows in the pacific, I’m wondering if that can be collected and if it is of the same species?

I'd be surprised if it was the same species. The Caribbean is very isolated. If you want a brown staghorn (I'm pretty sure mine is also Pacific in origin) I have one. You are welcome to a free frag of it. I have it way in the back of my tank because when it grows, and it grows fast, it takes up space fast, and no one ever is interested in frags of it!! It looked like this many years ago:

I may be interested in this, I just want to see if I can get a marine biologist to confirm how different it is. Doing a Caribbean ya j can be difficult! So should I PM you if want it? Thank you very much by the way.
