Stains on glass!?!

Hello all....

I cleaned my new tank out. an i cant seem to get these stains out... I tried everything.. can any one help on this?

Are referring to the stain on the silicon near the top or the white smear streaks?If it's the white streaks it looks like calcium,try soaking in a vinegar bath with a power head running for a few days.1 gallon vinegar to 25 gallon of h2o.

+1 on trying vinegar and water...

Put tank on side that has the stains. Pour in a 1/8" of straight white vinegar on the panel and let sour for a few hours. Then use a glass cleaning sponge(blue NOT scotch brite) and clean up. Repeat on other panels. A lot of times after you refill and use a glass cleaning pad on it will look pretty good. I looks a lot worse when dry.

Yes the smear streaks.... oh my god its driving me crazy...... I think i will try the vinegar.... I hope it works. You know what dasco i didnt fill it with water yet maybe that will work.... Thanks. Ill let you guys know.....
