Hello,
I have a 75G RR with a 1" drain and 3/4 return. i wanted to know is whats the best size pvc should i get for the return and drain. also do i glue the standpipe to the bulkhead or just put it in? the bulkheads i have are the one that have no threads in the inside just the outside.

Don't glue them in. At some point in the future you're going to want to drain the overflow chambers. Easiest way is to pull the Durso.

My drain and return are the same size as yours. I built my standpipes according to the directions on Rich Durso's website. They work very well after I drilled a couple extra air holes in the top of the left standpipe. No complaints at all.

I used a 1" to 1 1/4" reducer from the bulkhead to the bottom of the stand pipe and made the whole Durso out 1 1/4" PVC. No need to glue any of the Durso inside the overflow box.
I also changed over to 1 1/4" from the underside of the bulkhead to the basement sump. If your sump is under the stand, I'd just stay 1". This all needs to be glued.

I used 1.5 inch drain and 1 inch return from/to the basement all seems ok flow-wise.

I'm just finishing putting mine together but really like the idea of the adjustable air flow hole. I was about to just drill the cap.
