You've been Ric'd
so i come home from my trip to skiptons today around 3:00pm (middle of the 12hr light period), im admiring my new additions (see thread in photography section) in the smaller 28g tank, and my g/f Jen says "honey look at all the starfish!" Sure enough i look at my tank and serpent starfish are EVERYWHERE, all over my SPS corals mostly. these are the decent sized ones 2-3". they seemed to be clustering together in a few spots.
all of a sudden, like in those planet earth : coral reefs shows, they start secreting this milky substance. at 1st i thought my SPS was sliming up hardcore, but this substance just started dissolving into the water.
so i turned off my return pump, figured maybe i'll give em a chance to breed without sending all the water through the sump/skimmer.
Aaaaaanndd i took some pics for everyone, tried to get a video but couldnt get it to focus.
so are they spawning? has anyone seen this in an aquarium before?
