I am getting things in place to get the nano set up. I got my hands on grey aragonite, and I will be getting some of my old LR back. I plan on setting the tank up and just letting it cycle for a few weeks. The first time around I only gave it 6 days before I put livestock in, which was not a good idea.
Questions:
Do I need to do water changes during the cycling process?
How helpful would it be if I put a clump of Chaeto in the tank and let it grow wild?
Any suggested invert's to start with? Just put a few hermits in there?
Finally, is it bad to have those indestructible softies like mushrooms in the tank while it is cycling?
