Why do you feel it is a pest?Pest.
Any updated pics of your tank post build?Stylopora/Pocilopora are the aptaisia of hard coral. They’re hardy and can survive a nuclear blast. Grow on anything hard including the glass. And once they’re on the glass and you try to scrape it off, the polyps go everywhere and encrust on anything that’s hard and grow there too.
There’s nothing nice about them. They’re open polyps hard corals. The skeleton might have some different colors but all you see is the brown/green polyps.
You don’t have to believe me, buy it and try it. Just don’t let a scam artist that named their pest corals sell you one.
Ok, thanks. Will have to rethink this.Stylopora/Pocilopora are the aptaisia of hard coral. They’re hardy and can survive a nuclear blast. Grow on anything hard including the glass. Thanks. I have a bubblegum monti, seems to be doing well, and I really like it. Really like birds nests so probably will get at least 1 of them.A better alternative is the Seriotopora. Stuff like Ponape or bird of paradise. They’re less aggressive and the form is a little better. You can shape it by cutting the branch off. A little less hardy.
Another easy sps coral would be the montiopra. Aggressive and the form tend to shadow everything underneath but at least they’re pretty and colorful.
