I decided to upgrade to a larger tank. I purchased a IM170 ext and transferred from my old Red Sea 250 reefer g2. Here’s some pics

Its been a process. I picked up the tank and then prepared the supports under new position. Wife wanted to paint and change a few things in the room for the new tank. Added header and columns under the floor. I added a dedicated 20-amp GFCI breaker for the tank. Then drilled a passthrough for 1/4" tubing and USB cables to run to my basement for my reefer lab downstairs, where the Calcium reactor, water change station for automatic water changes, cleaning station sink, storage for reef equipment, pumps/apex/etc. It's a big thanks to Gardiner, Ben, Brian, Andy, My brother and especially my wife.

It wasnt without its struggles after my apex fried out during the transfer, and they've been very slow to react, but hopefully that will be resolved. I had to go buy a new unit and im waiting on my Trident, 2 dos, 2 eb8s, and brain to be fixed. Setting up a Calcium reactor is new to me and the guys have been helping but its almost completely the way I want the setup. I havent added any new corals or fish...everything is from the RS250. Soon, Ill start to slowly add some more with all of these new spots for frags and fish.

I need to hurry up and join the IM group! New tank looks awesome!

Bro those liiiiiights

Tank looks epic. You finally have more room to grow! This long journey is so worth it. I cant wait to come see this sucker again.

Def worth doing the reinforcing of the floor and passing tubing up through the wall. Pro Style!

Great advice from the RIRS
