Strange clown behavior?

Tankless
Ok...First off...Is there any way a Clarki would mate with a false perc? That beast of a Clarki I put in my tank took over my False Perc pairs RBTA about 2 weeks ago (right after beating both of them up). The pair of FP's healed up and moved into my Pagoda Coral last week. Well, tonight I get home from work, and the Clarki has been repeatedly swimming into the Pagoda Cup and doing "The Dance" that you normally see them do when they are pairing up. Is this wierd?

I also have a Clarkii and a False and wondered the same thing. They seem to get along a little better than you would think. I have even witnessed them sharing the long polyp toadstool

I guess if you stick anything in a small enough cell it will pair up with whatever is there

Steve, I have a tank full of swingers! My cardinal is always "scooching up" next to my female scooter blenny, my female Watanabei Angel sleeps in the same hole as my Pinktail Trigger (I do have a male Watanabei but he sleeps by himself), my Orange Shoulder Tang does a weird dance thing with my female Watanabei where they kind of chase each others' tails, and my scooters and mandarins are always swinging with each other. Makes for an interesting show!

ps...up late because my "screecher" went off at 2 am for no apparent reason - got my heart racing - now I can't go back to sleep!

LOL! Is Viagra the new Spanish Fly?? I changed the battery in the screecher yesterday so that may have something to do with it. But there wasn't any water around it at all. Maybe it got splashed from the sump. I finally got back to sleep at 4:30!

If you check out the Anemone&clownfish forum on RC, there are documented cases of that occuring and the raising of their offspring.
