Stray current?

I have had another jumper out of the tank. This time it was my mandarin. I have no aggressive fish and this is the fish to jump in a month and a half. The tanks been going great for 2 years. Could stray current be the problem? I have never been shocked and don't know how to check for stray current?

if you have a voltmeter, you can stick the positive probe in the tank, and the negative probe in a known good ground (like the ground on an outlet)

MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE your hands are bone dry, that where you're standing is not wet, and that you are insulated from the possibility of getting any stray current going to ground through you....

Agreed, Always a goo idea to use a ground probe in any tank. I have found that even a proper working power head or pump will leak a small amount of voltage into the tank.

If you do find voltage in your tank (with volt meter), unplug everything one at a time till you find the culprit.

As a second thought is it possible that you have a fish that is bullying the other fish right out of the water.
