How do you all protect water splash and salt creep issues around your electrical fittings, cords and plugs in and around your sump and tank?

I use this.

Myself...I have no splash, keep bubbles to a minimum and cover the part of my sump which does some bubbles....that and the use a fan to exhaust the moist humid air out works wonders.

That's great thanks both. Do you notice more evaporation when you exhaust air out?

Neither of you cover connections with plastic of some sort?

I have 2 EB8 right next to my sump with no issues. I don't have any bubbles, so no creep.

I wipe my electronics down about once a month. Other than than, I dont have much of an issue. I do find that my EB8 has a little bit of salt residue on it. I have though many times to relocate some stuff so this isn't an issue. However that would take a full electrical tear-down and rewire, which I want nothing to do with :)

I ran dedicated circuits to my tank. Both GFCI outlets are far enough away that they dont get bothered.

I've got a DC8, wired electrical box and a couple power bars underneath-- I just don't feel comfortable with them in case a reactor hose goes or something. Now I'm planning to run an extension under the tank-- over the sump as well, so another cord running. I think I'm going to run them through some PVC.

No! Not really. It anything it will help with the evaporative cooling when needed.Nothing is covered in the way electrics for me and I am using an RKL under with no issues so far...knock,knock,knock.
