sump leaking

well of course something new had to happen, everything was just getting back to normal. i go downstairs to see the floor all wet. first i think a hose came loose from the drain but no......the 55 gallon sump tank is leaking from somewhere  know i have to drain it down, and either have the other 55 drilled for the external pump or find a submursible pump and use it as is.

i hate mondays............................

That sucks...If it makes you feel better I came home to a house that had a humidity level of 65% with a still damp carpet, and the tile floor had condensation on it. On top of that, one of my containers full of rock and corals nuked on me so it also had a nice low tide aroma...I too hate mondays!

sorry to hear! good luck with everything, hope all goes well!

Hey, don't count all your broken eggs before you wait to see if one hatches :)

Have you ruled out everything yet? I once came home to a very wet floor that was caused by my Ca reactor's effluent line being bumped out of the sump....

Maybe it's a leaky/loose bulkhead, RO connection, siphioning battery backup pump, exct......

Just hopin it's something simple and easy.

good luck

i wish :) the back of the tank is all salt creep and it is wet to touch. i just cant figure out exactley where the leak is. at least i have an empty 55. now i just need the time to fix it :)
