Tank is all Cloudy Don't know why

Woke up yesterday and it looks all cloudy. Almost looked like someone blew smoke under the water. I just got home from work and everything is still alive.

Not sure what can cause it. I can still see both my nems and they are still bubbled up.

Any thoughts.

Ammonia, trates and trites are all zero. Haven't added anything new except for the coral I got at the auction. I don't dose.

cloudy is often a bacteria bloom. keep an eye on your tank. oxygen is a factor when there is an excess of bacteria. any chance something got in the tank by accident?

Is someone in your tank have a field day with its mate? Do you happen to have a clam?

No no clam. Just the green and red bubble tip. They seem to look out from that I can see of them. All the fish aren't acting weird and most all the corals are open. I don't get it.

I am off to get some water shorty and I will do a water change. Don't have anything to run carbon in or I would. Guess its time for a reactor.

do you have anemone?

Do you have a bunch of snails, We had snails spon all together, the tank was like milk. At the time it was 120G tank. Freaked me out and ran to get Bob, When I went back to tank, I actually was able to see them releasing a thick cloud of white.

Wow. Lot of responses. Love the help. I have 2 anemones and both look fine. I don't have a ton of snails. Mostly hermits. I went to something fishy cause I was up I'm Warwick and grabbed some water and mentioned it and they asked if any water from the corals I bought at the auction got into the tank and to bags did. I was floating it all before I acclimating like always and two sunk down due to holes I did see. They said that might have done it. I am going to do a change in a little bit. Hope its nothing crazy cause everything seems fine other than that. Only filtration I use is AquaC skimmer and my mp10. Then live rock and sand and do a 5 gallon change once a week

It could be one of your anemones spawning or even both. They release a cloud of stuff when they do(like my technical terms)spawn. Do you have a skimmer and if you do is it going nuts or acting normal?

The skimmer seems fine. One of them is hiding more today. He was all scratched out the other day I thought he was going to rip in half. From what I can see of him he doesn't look to be dieing

No feather duster.

Are you dosing any form of carbon such as vinegar, vodka, or Zeo type? Have you cleaned any equipment lately with vinegar? May be a bacterial bloom

Was the tank fine one day and cloudy the next? Or was it a slow progression, maybe a 2-3 day thing?

It was fine when I went to bed Friday. Well more like Saturday at 2 am. Got up at 9 and it was all cloudy. Better today than yesterday. I have ten gallons mixing I am going to change out. Don't have a reactor. Wishing a bid the 35 on that canister filter at the auction so I could run carbon

Buy a filter bag from Petco, fill it with carbon and throw it in your sump, in an area with some flow. That will help, it dosnt need to be in a reactor.
