Tank Stand and Canopy Advice

My thoughts exactly! :) That's what I am leaning towards, it's just nice to throw out ideas as I come across them and get some confirmation that I'm headed down the right path. That being said, I have seen plywood builds that end up looking great. Some of my older 75 gallon tanks, etc. are on prefab stands that still look really nice, since I take such good (OCD, ha) care of everything.
It looks like at the end of the day I'm going with a legitimate, solid oak wood build, black finish, for about $1100.

Hi. I saw several Aqua Vim units in a LFS in Queens. Tank stand canopy systems. Finish very nice and the store manager told me that they had never had a problem with any aqua vim units. I did however choose to go with a coast to coast unit. Even more money but they had their own custom furniture builder who used the same paint as my living room trim and they built a 27" deep rimless w 3/4" starfire for me. Delivery should be next week.
