Tds question

So im getting 0 tds out of rodi. Put it in a bucket to tranport to tank and it rises instantly to 20-100ppm.. am I using the wrong buckets? If so were do I get the right ones

What kind of buckets are you using? Are they rubbermaid or something else food-safe? How are you storing them when not being used? Do you rinse them with RODI before using them?

Perhaps you're just seeing the results of dust, salt build-up, etc.

Also, when you test the water in these buckets are you rinsing your TDS meter 2-3 times (rinsing out the cap/test container) and then testing for the right amount of time?

I think I tested my large 55g drums a couple times and saw some TDS reading; I just wrote it off as dust or whatever. The water coming from the RODI line usually matched the inline TDS.

Sounds odd. Did the bucket have salt in it? Was it rinsed well before use? Sounds like you may have had salt lining the sides of the bucket that dissolved when you put RO/DI in.
