Todays meeting

Well, I was impressed! Big group, lots of interesting chat. Nice slideshow/lecture! Helped shake off a lot of cobwebs!

A special thanks to Paula for making a newbee feel welcome. (I was the quiet guy in the Hunter green shirt). I'd like to come visit your reef soon!

I feel like I've been out of the hobby for decades though! Too many coral names/types to remember! Hopefully I'll get back in the swing off things once I start up again.

Did the hop over to PJ's Pets, Not a whole lot in but some nice anemones and little reef dwellers (clown gobies, watchman, scooters, etc.) Then hit Exotic Marine in Everett. Some real nice looking gorgonians (goldenrods?) and blade type al lopened up. Has Purple Tangs on special for $80 ! They're in the 3 -4 in size. Also had a HUGE orange tree sponge. Had to be 18 inches tall and one foot wide! Really bright orange.

Well thanks again. I'll be sending my dues soon. Hope to check out some systems.

you'll be able to do this on line soon. watch for details. paula's great. you picked a good table to sit at.

welcome to the group.

$80 purple tang? Man I don't know I have such an expensive fish in my tank.

no, not that fish. I bought it for $35 and I thought that was expensive.

By the way, Petco was selling them for $35, 3 inch long.

Also, I was told by a lady that she bought a flame angel for $100 from a LFS while Petco is selling them $44 regular and $35 on sale.

Next month's meeting will be even better. :D

You just go to Petco a lot to see what is on sale.

Different Petco has different fish on sale the same week I found.

Don't buy stuff from place that rip you off.

Go to Skipton and shop with people like Ray and Scott.

Buy stuff from members here and try your best to show up on time. At least try to call if you can't make it to meet on time.

Do yourself a favor and stick with our sponsors. The place mentioned above is full of BAD advice and HIGH prices........

Agree 100%

Exotic Marine Fish Wholesalers

This place should not be supported by ant BRS member, in my opinion. They will sell you anything to make a buck and then tellyou that there are no returns when it dies. They do not care about teaching newbies or customer satisfaction.......beleive me I learned the hard way when I first started out with my tank....DO NOT MAKE THE SAME COSTLY MISTAKE I MADE.

A duo of great guest speakers.
The official announcement will be made soon.

Stay tuned!....

Love the location of this meeting. Although it takes me 40 mins or so to get there, the room was nicely shaped, the chairs and some round tables was nice, for those interested, the bar was nice, plenty of room, ...

I think it is a much better alternative to the Wakefieled library although I do understand this costs us money.
