Top-off questions

I need to order an auto top-off before I leave at the end of next week. If I order from premium aquatics, how long does it usually take if using UPS Ground shipping? Ideally I would like it Tuesday or Wednesday.

Also, I want something reliable so I am probably going to get the tunze osmolator. I was planning on making one myself but I would rather trust tunze and I ran out of time. I would like to add kalk to my auto top-off in the future. Is it possible to incorporate a kalk reactor into the osmolator top-off system?

If they have it in stock, it usually ship pretty quick. And if you have dealt with any of the tunze bracket for their power stream, setup for the osmolator should be a breeze. It's similar. But I would check with CRA or other LFS to see if they have it in stock. I think CRA have some...
The osmolator is a top of the line top-off system. Very accurate! if you take out a small cup of water in your tank, the top-off will start within a second.

Thanks for the advice, CRA has 3 in stock for the same price as premium aquatics and shipping from Seekonk, MA should be quite fast.

..but could I connect the tunze osmolator to a kalk reactor? I see tunze sells a kalk dispensor but it is too small and pricey. Has anyone made a kalk reactor that could be connected to this top-off unit?

I would highly reccomend taht order an extra pump to have on hand as a back up. I think that I paid about 20 for it. My pump died and I had to wait until I could get another one shipped to me.

You could probably use the osmolator to run kalk (although not sure about the reactor itself) but I believe that it will void the warranty on the pump and may decrease the life of it.
