Trying to figure out what breed of blastomussa this is...

It looks to me like a merletti but was sold to me as a wellsi which it also looks like.

I can't really decide which I think it is. Either way, I love it and the color and its already gone from 5 polyps up to 6 and 3 tiny ones within the two and a half weeks or so i've had it.

It is a merletti, a wellsi has bigger polyps and it not branching. Nice color.

Yeah I had the feeling it was merletti. And yes it is branching (dont have pictures of retracted polyps since even at night it seems to stay mostly open).

And its not from an LFS, its from a local member but I dont think he knew specifically which type it was.

Well I technically got it for "free" so either way i'm not gonna complain lol
The polyps open to about the size of your average palythoa polyp so its not tiny but not huge either. Structure-wise it has characteristics of both types but still looks more like a merletti because wellsi from what ive seen have long lashes.
