I am thinking to upgrade powerhead on 180 gal, have in mind the Tunze ............ Anyone that has experienced with this powerhead kits can help with input would be appreciated.

I am concerned the 6100 give too much flow that will create one way stream, which will limit the space where i can place the coral anywhere near by the powerhead.

Plan A, 2 pumps, Tunze 6100

Plan B, 4 Pumps, Tunze 6025

6025

Can't give any advice on the 6100, but I will say 4 6025's won't give you enough flow. I have 1 in a 75, along with a 6045 and 2 oceanflows. Maybe the new 6055 would be enough but I don't think there out yet?

if you're talking about a kit and plan on going with controllers.....605 are not controller compatible.

The 2 6025's I run in my 92 bow supply enough flow with the return to keep my sand 'just shy' of a sandstorm. There are always a few sand grains blowing around at the tank bottom

6100's and tune them down based on sand bed type you may have. I decided to go with vortecs to cut down on the heat tunzes give off. 1.8 degrees for each 100 gallons.
