Tunze upgrade from 6000 to 6100=power supply?

I read this on RC, is this true? I can "upgrade" my 6000 stream from 1850gph to 3175gph by buying the 6100 power supply?
Seems like a great upgrade for $82 or so....would increase my flow substantially. And who can order them...

Yes, Dave! I've been thinking about this for awhile. But I dont know if I want 3000+ GPH in my little 37gal tank.
The problem is getting the transformer. Tunze products are usually never available!

For my 125g (soon to be 180g) this would be a great upgrade
And I don't mind waiting 3-4 months. It may take me that long to get the 180g setup. I just haven't found anyone who lists the transformer as a standalone purchase

Reef exotics lists the transformer as a standalone purchase for $75 .I just got 2 6000s with multicontroler from them but my magnets are still on backorder.http://www.reefexotics.com/tunze.htm

I did it with one of mine good deal. Tons more flow. Any LFS who carries them should be able to order it for you.
