Uncommon Symbiotic Relationships

So we know of wild symbiotic relationships, Clownfish and anemones, gobies and shrimps.

I have recently noticed that my CBB and mandarin hang out alot. The CBB will follow and hover touching the mandarin, taking turns nibbling the mysis and brineshrimp on the sandbed. I believe they do this to protect themselves against the greedy clownfish who like to eat most of the food. Almost like hunting in packs of goofy mouthed fish.

I find this sort of thing really interesting! Anybody have any captive relationships that seem uncommon?

My CBB and banggai cardinal sleep together at night. The cardinal is really nervous, so I think he feels protected sharing a cave with a bigger fish.

idk why but my flame tail blenny and my snowflake love each other and chase each other around. at first i though it was aggressive stuff but they live in the same cave and sleep togther and eat together. i think the blenny has better eyesight and the eel can protect the blenny, almost like a shrimp goby pair

That is crazy!

coolest part is like their married, everytime the snowflake gets crazy (the guy) the blenny (the girl) nips at basically forces the snowflake back into the cave and then goes and checks out what ever the eel was getting excited about LOL

how big is your tank? Snowflake eels are sweet, now I'm thinking if getting a baby one. haha

currently a 45 but after this weekend a 90 and also this isnt really a symbiotic relationship but i have a mated pair of percula clowns ( a large female and a small male) and a minature ocellaris ( so cool, they never grow larger than 1.5 inches). the mated pair took the baby under there wing and now i have a little school of clowns
