Used tank cleaning?

I recently acquired a used 180 gal tank and wonder what people use to clean up a used tank. I was at Krystal Aquatics over the weekend and they had a used 210 that they had cleaned up till it looked new. How do you get the salt/lime/coraline algae deposits off?
What do people recommend to clean up a glass tank?

bleach and muriatic acid are the two most popular cleaners for a used tank. Bleach will do a fine job on it. Just make sure to rinse well and air dry. same goes for the muriatic acid.

the bleach will not leach into the silicone. :)

Hi Glenn,
You bought that big 180 huh?
Nice tank.I noticed that it had a lot of left over coralline on the overflows.
The best thing to remove that is a nice strong solution of vinegar and very hot water.Let it soak on there for a while then it should come off pretty easily.

second the vinegar and hot water. works wonders

Tritto on the vinegar. I've laid a tank on it's side, flooded the horizontal pane with a little vinegar, and let it sit for a couple minutes. Then all the caked on crud is easily squeegeed off with a piece of acrylic. Next flip the tank to put another pane on the bottom and flood that one.
