Very small cleaner shrimp

Hello all


I have two cleaner shrimp in the display tank, and one is alway full of eggs. Recently Ive seen tiny shrimp like things in my sump/refugium. Lots of them...like 50 or more, in various sizes.Will they grow to full size down there? ( If so ... cleaner shrimp for all ) lol Has anyone seen them grow to full size? There are no predators down there. PS Way too small for a clear pic.

I had that happened to me before and it only last for about 3 days. After that, I dont even see a single one. What happen is that eventually, it'll get suck into the return pump and get into the main where the hungry fishes await.
I actually have one that is full of eggs right now too.

Shrimp are simultaeously hermaphroditic. They're both male and female, and after carrying a litter of eggs, it will actually fertilize it's partner's eggs, so they can alternate immediately one after the other, and double their capacity.

I've read that cleaners are very hard to raise, possibly because of their nutritional requirements, so if you see them for a few days, and then they disappear they're probably starving for lack of appropriately sized food.

if you DO find them in the sump, and want to try to keep them alive, what should you feed them? Is Cyclopeeze too big? My adult cleaners go nuts for that stuff.

They have been in the sump for weeks now.There are several diff. sizes ranging fom this (..) to this (---) sort of.I thought they might be some sort of Copapod, but they swim around quickly and the biggest looks just like a shrimp.Maybe Im wrong??? But Ive got alot of them in there (whatever they are ) Thanks Rob
