I have no issues with the BRS or the way it's run. Hope you're not lumping me in there.

what is there to get to the bottom of? He posted a watermarked picture from another reef site that wasn't his, the moderators assumed he didn't ask permission of whoever the photo belongs to, so they deleted it..
really not that big of a deal, i don't get why people need to flip out whenever something they say or do gets moderated.. i'm sure the moderators weren't mad at you when the deleted the pictures, they just felt it was in the best interest of the club?

why do you think i tried to delete it 30 seconds after i posted it? I don't know you personally, which is why i wanted to delete it.. because all it was going to do was cause issues..
what i can tell you that is that i don't understand things you do around here... a year ago you were so gun-hoe about EVERYTHING this club had to offer... you'd post in every single thread, be at every single event, offer whatever experience/advice you had to anyone in need of help, and even ran for the BOD multiple times.... then after a short time in the BOD, you disappeared, then you didn't run again, and now all you do around here is post in the lounge, bash moderation, and cause issues.. what's your beef, did you not get along with other people in the BOD? If that's the case, then that's fine... don't run for the BOD again, but don't call people out for trying to run a successful forum or club... it's just counter productive.

the pictures were posted to promote the club...the pictures were posted to showcase some of the remarkable talent people within the club have, and to show some of the newer members here who know what they are really doing...and I've yet to see any one of the people tanks that were posted to be taken down or upset that I was complimenting their tanks...

but that's the problem, they don't ask why, or look for explanations, or try to be understanding... they go straight to bashing.
If you just let the moderation happen, and didn't knock the whole thing off track by bashing moderation and griping about "all the rules" the thread would have stayed on track, and you would have gotten more people to post pictures of their tanks... i thought the thread was a great idea FWIW, i just don't get why there's some itsy bitsy little rule violation, inadvertently most likely, and everyone goes crazy..
if you're tired of the rules here, why don't you go over to RC, they have way less rules over there..

who elses tank was posted besides Mpoletti? I didn't see the other pictures you posted. In the case of the pictures of Mpoletti's tank, he's not a member of this forum, the picture was watermarked, and you didn't ask his permission.. so i can understand where the moderation was coming from on those.
Who else's tank did you post pictures of, hiller? Liam? I don't know.. but you asked them to post pictures in the first post in the thread, don't you think that if they wanted their tanks to be shared in the thread they'd do it themselves? I'm not saying that you offended or bothered any of them, but you could have..

gregs, dave and ginas, ronnies, jareds, brians, kevins, oh which none were watermarked...
the mpolleti pic was a joke and i could care less about that...the thing that gets me is that there are alot of people that try to be members of this club but are turned off by exactly what was said earlier, I am not afraid of getting banned or chastised or stepping on their toes because it has been years that this stuff has been going on. There is a reason that people go on BOD and then leave to never want it EVER again, because of the politics...bishop is someone that i can say helps new reefers MUCH MORE than any one of those people on the BOD with advice, help, equipment, deliveries to meetings, rides to meetings, just in general...why? because he wants to the club to grow....not knock people down because they are more interested in looking like they're doing a bang up job to their superior bod members so they get a pat on the back...that is where the problem lies...and Jared isn't the only one that has done that either, there are other people that have even left and ended long term relationships to go venture out and start their own website because they felt so strongly about the way BRS was being run...I'm not bashing anyone personally or everything the club does because i think that the meeting and club promotion like BRASS is a great idea. I just think and feel that there is more concern about rules and keeping people in single file line than there are about recruiting members into the club and being a welcoming organization and I know alot of other people feel that way too.
