I just wanted to raise some awareness about dogs and our reef tanks. About three days ago my 2 yr old Lab grabbed some LR rubble i was tossing that had some yellow polyps on it. He threw up about 7 times. At the time we didn't know he had grabbed the LR. We brought him to the vet and she sent us on our way with some mild food and medicine to calm is stomach. My wife later found a few pieces of the LR around the house that he had chewed. He has been fine since but we want to make sure there isn't any serious long term effects that we should keep an eye out for.
Has anyone encountered a similar situation?

Good thing there weren't any palys on the rock. I read on RC how someone lost their dog that way. Give your pooch a hug and thank your lucky stars.

Yea, we got really lucky. Deff gonna think twice before taking stuff out of the tank and setting it on the floor.

Wow, real close call there. Good to hear the dog is doing better. Amazing how something as simple as that could cause a negative affect.

That story was the first thing I thought of

Hope he makes a full recovery
