Washer water outlet ro/di

I'm going to be setting up a ro/do unit this week. The only place I can think of setting it up is either in the bathroom attached to the wash/dry closet or the sink in the guess bedroom. I'd rather use the washer fixture. Has anyone done this? What did you do to run a splitter off of the fixture? Any advice would be awesome.

You just need a hose splitter for the laundry hook up. Then you hook the wager up to one side and RO/DI to the other side with a hose connector for the RO/DI. You can get all those parts on eBay. That'd how I have mine hooked up.

Just do not use a plastic Y I used one that came with the RO filter it failed and leaked in a week
Use a brass Y you can get it at Home Depot

that's how mine is hooked up. Brass hose splitter from HD and a hose bib to 1/4" RO fitting.

Mine is hoked up the same way also. Maybe every once and a while check the splitter. Mine started to leak at one of the shut off valves(one on the RO side) and when I replaced it, it was 3/4 of the blocked with deposits. It was in use for 6 years. What took 8 hours to fill now takes 6 because of the reduced water flow.

The parts needed are a hose bib splitter:

and a hose bib adapter - this takes you from garden hose threads to a quick connect fitting for the tube that feeds the RODI:

This is a good way to hook up your RODI - allows full flow to the system. It's MUCH better than a self piercing saddle.
