Weird deaths in the tank??

In the past few days all of my chromis have died. We had one big one thats been in there for a long time and a bunch of new little ones that we got about 2 weeks ago. All of the little ones died, they all had the same weird red marks on thier sides. I thought the big one didn't like them and beat them up. Yesterday the big one is the same way and on his death bed! I cycled my tank with the 3 chromis 6 years ago. The big one is the last of them, I'm pretty sad to see them go! All I have in the tank is a pair of clowns, royal gramma and a domino damsel. I don't think any of them would have done this. They have been tank mates for a very long time.
What could be doing this??

Thanks

First question is do you QT your livestock? You said you added new fish, it's likely they were sick and spread whatever they were carrying to the rest of the tank.

I don't, we live in a very small apartment and I don't have the room. I did think of that. Would everyone else be healthy and it just got the chromis?

If it was a sick fish you introduced, it's likely it will spread. Keep an eye on everyone else.

On another note, did you test your water? What are your parameters?

Everything should be fine, tested at home and came back with the same thing. My test kits are a little old so I wanted to be sure I had the right info. I had the water tested over the weekend at AA. They said it looked great. Not sure what the exact numbers were they were pretty busy.

Sounds like a double homicide/ suicide with no note. Chromis are quite notorious for this.

I tried to catch him last night but he darted behind the rocks. After that I went to bad. We got up this morning and he was dead. So far everyone else looks fine. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
