Wet/Dry Filter/Sump Configuration

Bettencourt

Non-member
I purchased this filter at a great price from a fellow member. It is a wet/dry with three chambers. The two chamber on the left have boxes that can lift out and sit about 6" of the bottom of the main filter box. I would like to get the most out of the filter. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can best set it up? Bio balls? Live Rock? Sand? Skimmer. I know lots of questions sorry. But you folks know best how to get the most out of a configuration. I will try to post one more view. Thank you.

What do you plan to keep in this system?

For fish only the wet dry (bio balls in the chambers) configuration will probably work pretty well.

If your planning a reef tank, you will probably want to remove the two removable chambers and use the main section as a sump (skimmer, heater, maybe some live rock, maybe section off a portion as a "refugim").

this is what i did with mine.
