doing some cleaning int he tank today and pissed "Smoke" my blue ribbon eel off. He came swimming out of his hole for me to discover that someone has taken a chomp out of his tail. He is missing app 1/4 of an inch of his tail meat and it is skeleton showing. I have just gotten my comp back on after 3 days of it being down. I have done a quick search to no avail about a possinle antibacterial treatment for him. he seems fine although a bit pissed . needless to say I replaced his home area the way it was and scooted him back into it. trying to keep stress to a minimum.
likely culprits I think would be one of my 3 reef lobsters, yes 3 after 4 months of not seeing my original 2 I recieved another as a gift and within 3 weeks my other 2 showed up out of the blue. On a side note all 3 seem to be doing fine together the cohabitate within 6 inches of eachother ( of course). Does anyone have an clue about medicines that would work to prevent infection?
