What are these white dots? Help ID Please!

Keeping it Simple!
This hobby never ceases to amaze me! No matter how long you have been doing this something always comes along that confuses you. I have come across these white dots in my tank on my rockwork. I have never seen them before and can't recall every hearing about them. Does anyone know what they are and whether this is or could become an issue? They come off if touched/scraped and don't seem to be moving. I have not added anything into the tank for at least 6 weeks.

I do have a couple of cerinth snails. I guess it only takes 2 right? :-) What is the chance of survival?

I get these all the time from my cerinths. They hatch and I will have a handful of real tiny snakes for a while, but something eats most of them. Fairly few grow up to be adults.

They do survive in my QT tank that has only snails and frags. Can say for certain in my display tank. They probably are eaten before developing a shell.
If they grow on your glass, check out the sacks with a magnifying glass. You can see the eggs inside.

good to know, I have some as well and they seem to be appearing and disappearing periodically but they stay in one place while present; I also notice I have more snails than I remember buying.
