Tell us what you are using for lights.

Hello chris good minds thinks alike i was thinking the same thing iam gonna do a videio of my tank with a years worth of leds soon thanks don

Currently using 8x54 T5. Feel like it is a little short on light. Considering LED possibly and MH maybe.

what type of fixture is the 8x54w dannyp? With t5 most of the light generated is from the reflectors, with high end fixtures the reflectors are 98-99%, lower end fixtures loose alot of light that does not get reflected correctly. Just asking cuz i use only t5 and actually have to dim mine cuz its too much light for my tank.

250w pheonix 14k
Color is perfect, and have everything from sponges to shallow acros that are all just as happy as I!

Currently 3 250 Radiums and 4 T5s, switching to 3 AI Vega Colors as soon as they get here and keeping the 4 T5s for supplementation.

8x54w Tek t5 fixture on a 120 4' tank. Individual reflectors and looking at changing out to a 6 bulb Tek Light I have, possibly modded with an additional two rows of LED's

I use a mix of MH, T5, and VHOs. Can't select multiple options in the poll so I didn't vote.

Its a Tek T5. I just feel like there could be more light. Maybe my combo of bulbs?

I use T5s for my display tank. My basement tanks use a mixture of T5s and LEDs during the warmer months and then I switch back to MHs during the colder months to provide some more heat.

T5's for 72 bowfront (4 x 54)
leds for RSM 250 (36 x 3 watts royal blue/cool white - still experimenting)
MH for JBJ 28 gallon (Phoenix 14K)
CF for 29 biocube (3 x 36)
CF for 14 biocube (2 x 24)
CF for 3 gallon pico (13 watts)

If I had to pick a favorite it would be the T'5s or the MH. I am still learning about leds.

42x3w leds on my bc29..but going bacl to MH 2x250 for my upgrade
