What current MH bulb preference for 250w DE fixture?

Just blew a bulb Looking for what brand and spectrum are preferred these days. I had 10k AB bulbs before with t-5s.

I run the Geissman 250w 13.5K (which I believe runs like a 10K) with t5s and have been very happy with the growth and color of my coral.

It's all preference. I like the look of 14ks with vho actinics myself.

VHOs actually put out more actinic than T5s(for lack of a better description). It's all in what you want for growth and looks.

I thought my tank was really blue with just the t-5's on. I also need to figure out what brand and I don't have a ton of money right now so I really want to find something that will be nice.

I like the 14K Phoenix bulbs, FWIW.

10k XMs. Good par readings according to Sanjays lighting website. I like the look as well. I have 4 ATI blue plus T5s running with them.

2x 14K phoenix DE, on dual BlueWave ballast, with no supplement.
I will never change bulbs. Finally found the color I wanted. I probably could get a little more growth with another combo but it's a minor issue compared to a simple dual ballast set up and nothing else.
