What do I need for an emergency quarantine tank

I have a fish in my tank that is struggling.. everything else is healthy and even this fish is eating but I’m afraid if I don’t medicate he’s not gonna make it. I’m one of those hobbyists that doesn’t have the space/resources to have multiple tanks setup, however, I’m thinking this might be an extenuating circumstance and wondering if I can go out and buy a 10/20 gallon tank and setup a quarantine tank in a day.
This literally happened overnight after a month or more of being in the system. No other fish show spots or signs of sickness. To me this is kind of an emergency.
Note: he still eats when I feed, however he confides to safe space and doesn’t freely swim. I haven’t noticed any aggression from other fish. This is a sudden shock

And then, follow up question. Once I get him out and in his own tank, what is the best method of treatment??

I'm not expert so take what I will say with a grain of salt. But I think you need to pull all fish asap as that looks like velvet from what I can see in the picture

You might be right but be that as is may, resources won’t allow. Best I can hope to do is isolate him alone and I need to do it asap. Working on it, just don’t even no the proper treatment for when I do

Yes definitely looks like velvet. Did you by chance add any new fish? I would do a freshwater dip, rally dip and treat with copper in the QT. Soak nori in selcon to feed. I also have these if you need some.

The upside to being a part of this forum is having advice like this. The downfall is my distance from most. Thank you for your offer, I just wish you were closer to me

No problem. Hope everything goes well. The tank should technically remain fallow as well for 6 weeks.
