What size circulation pump/powerhead should i get?

Sushi Anyone?
I have a 35 gallon tall Hex tank.. its about 24" across and about 26" tall... I do have some water movement from my filter's waterfall, but its not going to be enough for soft corals. I just have no idea how big of a powerhead i need.

I was looking at the Hydor Koralia Nano (Mini) Pump/Powerhead 240gph
or the Hydor Koralia 1 Circulation Pump/Powerhead UL 400 gph...

I dont want a too strong one and create a tornado effect because my tank is pretty much round. any suggestions?

I have a mini in my 12 and a 1 in my 50 i love the one!!!The mini is way too small!!The 1 also might not be enough for softys...

do they have speed adjustments on them? and do they have a constant flow or does it go on and off to create a back and forth waving effect like undertow type thing?

they are constant flow. they aren't really controllable, they make lots of noise unless you modify them for a controller. i don't know how much of an undertow effect you could get in a hex. i would have one near the top facing down and another on the side facing towards the flow of the other one. it should be turbulent enough.

alright Thanks!

I agree with getting 2 of the koralia 1's. That way you wont have any dead zones. Vortech would be nice :)

yeah koralia 1s would do the trick two may be to much tho.... although it wont be a very concentrated flow like a maxi jet would be its more spread out i think jays idea with one facing down and one into the flow should work.

I have got a K1 in my hex that acts as my fuge and it is not to strong. I would go with a K2 if you add one and two K1's if you go with two as others above have also said.

I think I will go with the 2 K1's, thanks everyone!

no one is mentioning Tunze nanostreams? I think they'd be a great solution....
