What to put in a refugium

I just set up a refugium for my 55g. The tank is fairly new and has cycled. What should I put in the refugium besides macro algae?

Yes i would like to know also, But i think i was reading in either past threads or another online article. Put live rock in there, macro algae, copepods, shrimp i think, basically stuff you wouldn't want to get eaten by the inhabitants of your main tank.
My new refugium has some macro algae and some small pieces of live rock. And a nice compact florecent daylight lamp.

I've found water to be a great addition to any refugium.:D

Do you have a sand bed in there?? LR rubble is a great addition and will help provide "shelter" for pods and shrimp and such. Do you have lighting on it and if so are you running it as reverse lighting??

Water always works well. No sand bed. I have rubble and macro algae. Yes, the light is on a reverse cycle, midnight until 7 am. Should there be hermit crabs or snails?

Snails maybe, but they may compete with some "pods" for the same food. Hermit crabs are hungry and indiscriminant. A sand bed will encourage the growth of mysis shrimp and amphipods.

I'm not a huge fan of snails where water needs to flow freely.
