Whats the longest you've kept a scallop?

I have a flame scallop that i have had to about 4-5 months now .. seems to be very happy and i think i has grown a little too... i remember always hearing how har they were to keep .. it did try to eat a rel leg though .. the red leg died the next day i think the scallop shocked it to death ..
