I am thinking of replacing mine now that it is close to the 1y mark. I read that most are designed for 10k hours, but their germicidal efficiency decreases over time.

When do you replace your UV bulb?

I do it yearly for piece of mind. Small price to pay to help keep my fish ich free. This was recommended to me by a much more experienced reefer than I.

I was noticing some stress pimples showing up out of the blue so I was wondering if my UV is just deteriorating. Bulb turn on fine but starting to discolored, I'ma replace. Thanks guys!
