Where to buy glass?

I want to repair a irregular shaped glass top. Where can I buy a piece of glass from? Thanks

Dong, most local hardware store will cut glass for you.

If you need a piece cut other than square, you may have more luck at a glass shop. Look up Glass in the yellow pages, and you'll find a handful of glass shops in your nearby area.

There is a glass shop on 2A/RT 119 in Acton west of Rt 27 on the right side of the street.

I've used "glass stop" in Somerville near the Target on Somerville Ave, with good results, they had any thickness glass you wanted also

I've seen them too... I haven't used them yet, but have called them about other tank projects that I haven't gotten around to yet and they had reasonable prices. They can also get glass tempered which is a nice plus

If anyone is looking for tempered glass I strongly suggest calling: Contract Glass in Wilmington (800-649-9957), they are a tempered glass manufacturer and have a oven on site. Most of the other glass shops in the surrounding areas get their tempered glass from Contract.

Here's a stumper- does anyone know a shop (or website, even) that carries metrically sized glass? Specifically 8mm glass?

Or, alternatively, 5/16" glass, but I don't think that beastie exists...
