Where to buy small barbless hook?

a chromis and maybe others. what's happening is that he's biting "around" the bait so i assume i need a smaller hook, right?

what size is #22? I'll check at home to see if I have any sm hooks.

does he strip the bait off the hook?

i'll have to confirm at home if it's 20 or 22. it's small to a point that i need magnifying lenses to put the line in.

have you try the baited hook and a clear speciment container or net? Maybe you can catch it while hes eating.

i tried using a trap but was not successful. too many corals and rock for a net. i don't know if i'll find a baited hook this size.

armando, if hes getting the bait off the hook without taking the hook, then the bait is too big. If the hook can fit in his mouth, it doesnt need to be any smaller.
