Where to put fans?

I want to install 2 x 4" fans on my 54 corner tank should i put them on the 2 straight sides blowing < and > or < and< across the water/light or on the top of the hood blowing up and down? hope that makes sense haha

You want the fans going the same direction across the water IMO.
