Which Eel is best in Reef Tank??

I think an XL fish trap would do the trick, I'm sure you could make a small acrylic box trap if need be but I don't see then causing that much of a problem. Every time I drop silversided in the tank my eel comes flying out might be able to lure one out with food and net him from behind. If it came to it I'm sure I could build you something to get him out.

i think you will have great luck with a hawaiin zebra moray. they are laid back, but they get large almost 4 feet.they are carnivores, so this may impact water quality as far as nitrates and phosphates go. good luck!

Do what we did and import one the size of a very small earthworm by accident in a coral head, and grow it out to see what you end up with! :P

I removed a snowflake from my system a couple of years ago. It had grown to about 24". I tried fishing it out, and it snapped a 2/0 Bass hook. I eventually tore the whole tank down to get it out. It was in a 210 with a couple hundred pounds or so of live rock plus all the corals. If you put one of these in your system, make sure you really want it there.;) They can live for a very long time.

That's what I was afraid of ;)

The bioload being way too big for a reef is what I'm concerned with. I'm surprised only one person mentioned it. What have you guys found?
