White growth on Pink Skunk Clownfish (not ich)

3 months ago we purchased a Pink Skunk clown and it has a white growth on the side of its body. The spot was there before we bought it because we had seen this fish in the store for weeks prior to the purchase and it always had the spot.

Long story as to why we ended up with this fish but thats for another time.

Anyways, we took the fish home. Did a 15 minute fresh water dip on him and the spot never went away. The fish has been healthy with no signs of sickness and actually seems to be the head fish in the tank right now, as it picks on every other fish and seems to have taken 75% of the territory in the tank as his own.

So i was just wondering if anyone knew what the spot is? Its been on him for 4 plus months so i don't believe it to be potentially dangerous, I just want to know what it is and if it can be removed.

here's the best pic I have, it actually seems to be 3 spots in a clump. :.

He looks super healthy save for the white bit. If it just appeared, I'd think it would warrant quarantine and treatment, but if it has been like that for 4 months now with no change... maybe an old injury/scar? Just a guess on my part though.
