Who uses Sea-Flo mods?

Pat at Sea-Flo suggests that I use two 900s on my 55 gallon FOWLR (4 ft). The tank has no sump or refugium.

I'm wondering if those having experience with this product would agree. I need to buy the powerheads as well, so I want to make sure I won't end up with a tidal wave in my tank before I make the purchases.

Thanks!

I have a single 1200 in my 58. More than enough flow. It's a great product, you won't be disappointed.

Apistoborelli,
Are you able to get the flow working right with all the current coming from one side of the tank? Do you have problems with disturbing the sand?
Any info/thoughts you can provide are appreciated!

I'd go with 2 in a 55..... even if you had one going for half a day and the other the rest of the day or both at the same time... I think that's all you'll need for flow....

It took a while to get it right but I did find the sweet spot. I think I may need a 600 mod on the other side but I'm waiting for now.

I've got two modded 1200's in my 75 and it's a lot of flow, though it doesn't really seem like *too* much.

I've been experimenting with different placements.
Pushing sand around is a problem if I don't get it right.

?

I got 4 1200 mods in my 210 on a redsea wavemaster pro.....Almost too much flow. could have gotten away with 2 1200 and 2 600 mods...

great flow but having a hard time figureing what program to use on my wavemaker.

I have a 900 along with a sure flow and various rtn outlets in my tank. I have the maxi mods on a blue line tsunami wavemaker.
However, the sure flow seems fine and the sea flow runs for about 3-5 cycles (about a min) and it stops working. If I pull it out of the tank, pull the impeller out and then put it back it works. I can't figure out why it stops after a few cycles, anyone else have this issue, and how long do you let your run on your wave maker cycles?

Thank you all for your input......much appreciated. I think I'll go with two 900s. That way I can use them in a bigger tank when the time comes! That ought to be by summer time I'd say! :)
