Why might red-leg hermits be dieing?

I am sure the Ammonia is very close to 0 .. or even at 0. Sometimes it's hard to figure out the colors .. thats why I put trace.

This morning one of the astrea snails has laid eggs on the back wall!

Are the kits you are using titration type tests, where your test sample is mixed with a dye of one color, and you add a reagent one drop at a time until the solution changes abruptly to another color? Or are you using tests where you mix all the reagents together, let sit for a short period, and then compare the color to a chart by eye? The color chart test kits aren't reliable enough to use for reefs, IMO. The ranges are not useful for the levels we care about. Plus they're difficult to interpret. I'd only recommend titration type tests such as salifert or Hagen.

Yes, its the added the solutions, shake and wait type. I may go get the salifert type for accuracy.
